The Monaro Folk Society is a non-profit community organisation, here to enhance your enjoyment and personal growth through active participation in the arts, and a range of community and social activities.
We run a variety of regular dance workshops and events as well as participatory music sessions and performance opportunities in Canberra all year round. Even if you are a beginner with no experience you are most welcome to attend these and see what we have to offer. Feel free to contact us for further information.

We have now launched small band combos for musicians would would like to play and practice in small groups. Click here for more information.
With the improvement in the Covid situation we have resumed some of our dance activities.
We are also holding music sessions. The format for these is usually a core group
together in one location while using Zoom for other remote musicians to join in the proceedings.
