The Merry Muse is the Monaro Folk Society's principal music performance venue.

It happens at the very welcoming
    Polish-Australian White Eagle Club
    38 David St, Turner, ACT
             (See location map)

The Merry Muse happens on most Friday evenings, except the first Friday of each month. Occasionally it happens at a folk festival instead` of the the White Eagle Club. Details of prices and programmes are published on the Merry Muse website.

The Merry Muse and The White Eagle Club are totally non-smoking venues. Children are welcome (and for free!), provided they and their responsible adults comply with licensed club requirements.

The MFS also offers other types of opportunities to make or hear music - there are:

Music Groups Club Nights Singing Sessions

The Music Groups are where members help members to improve their instrumental skills.

Club Nights are usually held on the second Wednesday each month, at the Old Canberra Inn, 195 Mouat St Lyneham. These are blackboard/walk up gigs, with a session-out-the-back.

Performers, come along and register from 6.30pm for a 7pm start. All levels welcome. Non-performers, come along anytime and grab yourself a meal at the bistro and a drink at the bar! Sessioners are welcome anytime (and usually end up being the last to leave!)

Absolutely free car parking, absolutely no cover charge, plus great socialising, and a wonderful range of acoustic based music to enjoy, all to warm the cockles of your heart.
