live music played by the Canberra Mandolin Orchestra and
calling by Mark Simmons!
The Canberra Mandolin Orchestra was formed in 2003 and brings together players of mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, and also electric and double bass. It works like a string orchestra except that mandolin family instruments are plucked and not bowed.
Our exceptional caller Mark has been teaching and calling dances for over 25 years for the MFS. As always, all dances will be walked through and called so everyone can join in.
Don’t miss this very special event. It’s a great way to spend a mid-winter evening with family and friends and enjoy a variety of dances and great music.
