Usually held on the final Saturday in March, however this will depend upon the Covid situation.
Will not be held in 2022 – however see End of Month dances for 26 March 2022 dance at Kingston
The Shearers’ Ball returns to its traditional venue, the Yarralumla Woolshed, for a great night’s dancing. Music from the Bush Capital Band, featuring a collection of fine musicians from within the MFS.
No experience is required, no need to bring a partner, all dances will be called and taught on the night so just come along in less formal colonial gear or smart casual dress and comfortable shoes and join in the fun.
Shearers’ Balls have been around in regional Australia for a long time. Traditionally, they were usually held at the end of the shearing season before itinerant shearers moved away for a well-earned break or for other work.
