Shearers’ Ball

The Monaro Folk Society is proud to present its annual

Shearers’ Ball

Saturday, 25 March 2023, 7.00pm to 10.30pm

Folkdance Hall, 114 Maitland St, Hackett (click for Google Map)

This special event will feature live music played by the Monaro Folk Society Bush Dance Band.

Calling by our formidable callers Mark Simmons and Peter Foster!

The event will kick off at 7.00pm and guests will enjoy an evening of traditional bush dancing.

At the Shearers’ Ball all dances will be taught and called, so no experience is necessary and all are welcome to join in.

Don’t miss this very special event. It’s a great way to spend a night with family and friends and experience dances from decades long gone.

Please bring a plate of supper to share.

Cost: General admission $25, Concessions $23, MFS members and Dance Delights $20, Students $10, free for under 18s

(Tickets only at the door, cash only – please bring correct money if you can, no online ticket sales.)

Free bottomless cup of water, cordial, tea and coffee.

Dances for the evening will be from the following list, in no particular order (noting that there won’t be time to do them all, but we’ll do as many as possible):
